Things That Make Me Say Yeay

The most deeelicious persimmons at the farmer's market, which are by far my favorite winter fruit.

Painting has never really been something that I was particularly good at but I decided sometimes you just have to have fun and not worry about making things so complicated and perfect.  Last weekend I actually took my time (shocker) and painted this little ampersand on a canvas.  I think I might actually hang it up!

Max and I have started a new tradition where every couple weeks we go on a just Max and Mommy date.  He gets to pick what we do.  This last date he said he wanted to go to a pottery painting place so he could paint something for daddy and then feed the ducks :)

A girls night out with my sweet friend.  Cheers to that!

Every morning Ronin is so excited to see Max and runs up to him to say good morning.  Max was jumping out of his chair to give him a hug at this particular time and I caught it on my iPhone. These special little moments are the best.

Have a great weekend and happy Superbowl watching...if that is your thing of course.

How funny, the persimmons have come and gone here. I was tearin' 'em up, though. I put them in a salad almost every night to go with dinner. Sooo good.

I don't believe I've ever had a persimmon... weird. We went to our local farmers market last night and got so many delicious veggies! Great job on the painting! I don't think I could ever accomplish something that I would feel confident enough to put up in my house... stick figures aren't even my strong point ;)

I love your ampersand! I'm trying to put things together for a gallery wall upstairs, so I like the idea of making things like that yourself. They seem so expensive to buy already made and now you have something one of a kind :)

I love your ampersand and I think it's great that max loves art and wants to paint pottery for your dates. Since I only have the one kid everything I do with him is like a mommy Noah date, but I will definitely be stealing this idea when we have more than one kid! I think it's so important for that one on one time!

Love persimmons too - my parents have a tree, and so fall is filled with persimmons every day!

Where was the painting? Looking for a decent, kid friendly ceramics studio in SoCal!
