Best Baby Products Series: What's the Best Diaper Rash Cream?

Diapers rashes are the worst!  It's so sad when your sweet little baby has a red raw bum and is uncomfortable.  Breaks my heart.  The first time my son got a diaper rash I remember doing what every new mom does, google.  I frantically searched the web and called my mom friends to see what they had to say about which cream was the "magic" one.

My two personal favorites are: Boudreaux's Butt Paste & Calendula Oil

So this week as part best baby products series I would love to hear from you moms what you think is the best diaper rash cream and would recommend to other expecting or new moms.

See what other moms are saying about the best:

Coconut oil is our favorite over here!

A third vote for coconut oil--it's the best I've found (vs. Desitin, Boudreaux's, Bert's Bees). I've also had good results with adding baking soda to his bathwater and letting him have a long, tepid soak.

Browned flour ... sounds strange I know, but works like a charm!!! Put some flour into a frying pan, then on medium heat, keep stirring the flour until it turns a light golden brown. Apply a light dusting at each diaper change.

i really like using coconut oil, it seems to work wonders for a multitude of ailments! but sometimes if the rash is persistant or i'm out and don't have a convenient way to carry coconut oil i'll use boudreaux's, my second favorite.

Just plain Vaseline has worked best for me!

I used Burt's Bees Diaper Ointment. We still use it from time to time for other rashes and it's great on minor burns. I also loved Burt's Bees Dusting Powder too!

We used Boudreaux's quite a bit with Baby #2, but this time around we're back to the good old Desitin. I think it works the fastest and doesn't sting their little bottoms like some of the other ones we tried in the past.

My all time favorite is called Tender Tush by Young Living Oils. That stuff rocks on all ouchie skin rashes!!! Second fav is Boudreaux.

We use this homemade recipe and it works great:

Good for all over the body really, and you can add a little zinc oxide for diaper rashes too.

Mila had and still has very sensitive skin and I swear by the Calendula Oil. Stuff is amazing. I tend to have dry skin too and I've used it a few times...works wonders.

This is a little strange, but once when my little one had a bad diaper rash I didn't have much at the house and I googled all natural ways...and found egg whites...yucky right? They worked like a charm though. I have used them a few more times and every time it helps heal very quickly. It needs to be coupled with naked air dry time :)

I use Arbonne's Herbal Diaper Rash Cream. It's amazing, the company has a reputation for being botanically based and free of toxins, and honestly, it just works. I even use it for sunburns and rashes on our noses when we have colds. Works overnight. :)

I think you should go for Amolin Baby Cream. It is specially formulated oil-rich cream that soothes and heals to give your baby longer lasting protection from nappy rash and skin irritations, minor sunburn, cracked lips and dry skin :-)

I'm sorry but where can I find coconut oil? Is it in the section where cooking oil would be located? I don't think I've ever seen it and my lil one has a terrible diaper rash.
