Things That Make Me Say Yeay

A little handful of raw goji berries.

I have started taking a few minutes each day to write out my thoughts in a journal. So therapeutic and it has been helping me feel a lot more organized with my thoughts..which if you read this post you will understand.

Max helping me water the garden :) I always do a little inside giggle when I hear Mom's say, "My kid is soooo smart." Well I am gonna be that Mom. He knows the difference between tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and carrots. He will point to each one that I say. My kid is sooo smart ;)

My ear coning kit that I bought for Ian and I to use... BUT I am so scared to try it out! Has anyone tried this before? Thoughts? I am so scared to light my ears on fire!

A few clay bracelets that I recently made just for fun.

On a side note:
It is officially the first day of fall! Wooohoo! Now it needs to be colder. I cant wait for eggnog, hot mulled wine, pumpkin soup, grape stomping (yes I am making the husband do a grape stomping date with me) scarves and so much more!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

grape stomping sounds like fun! i'm excited for fall too, but it tends to go straight to winter so i'm a little weary of that. however the 60 something days of 100+ temps this summer is making me want winter and winter things badly! like egg nog! yum. and hot chai latte!

YAY for Fall!
I did try those ear candles once, was interesting! You should poke a hole through a paper plate and sit it against your ear and then insert the candle. That will help protect you from falling ash.

I've always wanted to try ear coning! Keep us updated :) BTW I started the oil cleansing method last night - I think I love it already!

I don't know what ear coning is, I must hear about it--or I'll just google it. :) Those bracelets are awesome. Please share the tutorial! I love that you write in your journal, it's probably very soothing for you!

I've never tried that ear coning thing - it kind of freaks me out!! I hope you have a great weekend Lindsay!!

I tried the ear cones when I was fifteen. It seems scary at first, but when your doing it, you don't feel anything, (other then having a long cone in your ear). Ian should like what happens at the end when you unravel it! But I heard they aren't good for you, so I only did it that one time.
And the Go Jo's are a MUST! My father was ill two years ago, and my mum said just start eating strictly fruit and veggies; in the morning he would grab a handful of Berries, and let's just say... he's ten times better, and he's still grabbing that handful every morning!

Loveee those bracelets, your so creative!

Love those bracelets. And good for you for taking some time to write stuff out each day. I always feel better when I do that, too. Annnddd, if/when you do to the ear coning thing, I hope you post about it because I have wanted to try it but am always nervous about it, too. :) Have a great weekend!

Love this post!! Your journal is so cute! And yes, I have successfully done coning, and my ears are still intact. Just make sure you do it together and not by yourself, so someone can keep an eye on the flame.

Love the blog! I'm following :)

What are those berries? Never heard of 'em.

Love the watering pic. Never too young to get in the garden! It's funny how they pick up on plant names so quick. I'm pretty sure The Kid can name and recognize more plants than most adults. I love it. He's sooo smart. :o)

Eggnog lattes, come to mamma. And mulled wine?!!? I remember being knocked up with The Girl at a fall party and not being able to consume my weight in it. And here we are again. Rats!

Max is just so cute with his watering can! :) He definitely looks like one smart cookie, if you ask me...

The ear things are a sham... unfortunatly. If you burn one without putting it in your ear you get the same results. The smoke going into the ear is soothing though but it does not remove the wax...

Those clay bracelets are gorgeous! Will you be selling some in your etsy shop? And what's the ear thing? I've never heard of it.

P.S. You son is so darling!!

Lindsay @ Delighted Momma said...

Amy and Amy @ amy day to day- I have put a lot of time and thought into the Etsy shop and I haven't decided %100 if its for me. I would much rather show people how to make their own jewelry and give away my creations as gifts rather than selling them. So we will see :) But thank you on the bracelet compliments I will do a tutorial soon...and possibly a giveaway!

Jessi Haish- yes I did! Thank you!

I have done the ear candle coning... it was really cool. At first I was uneasy about a flame being that close to my hair so I laid in front of a mirror AND had my husband watching it. It was really relaxing and felt nice and warm. Hope you have a strong stomach to see what comes out of it.

#1 - I love Goji Berries. I drink 1 oz of Ningxia Red (Goji Juice) every day! Here's information about it: http://www.youngliving.us/pdfs/PIP_NingXiaRed.pdf

#2 - my mom did ear coning on us when we were kids. It doesn't hurt at all - actually feels pretty good. We weren't that convinced it was very effective. If you let it burn down without being in an ear you got the same yellow waxy stuff... ;)

Fantastic bracelets. I'm looking forward to our spring and summer so I can pack my scarves away for a few months.

OMG, I finally tried the ear cones and it was so gross! My husband tried it first and it didn't look so bad, so I went next just for the ick-factor. It doesn't hurt, you can't feel anything, it's just weird. I don't really know that it helped, but it didn't hurt.

And I just had dark chocolate covered goji berries this week. Yum.

Oh ... love this post! Adore finding things that make me go "yeah!" ... those bracelets really rock my socks, you are just so crafty!

I've tried the ear coning! It's not scary at all, however, I've read that it doesn't really work. . . so I decided to test it out. I burned the cone by itself, and when I cut the inside out, it looked just like the "wax" that had appeared when I had it inside my ear. I really don't know if it works or not, but that little experiment made me a bit weary.

Although I'm not a mum, I'm a very proud Aunty and I have to say even though my beautiful little niece is only 3 months old, I'm already guilty of saying things like "oh she is soooo smart" and "she is going to be a genius I just know it" - sure these comments came after we realised Delilah LOVED being naked, but I feel our comments are still justified. haha Hope you are having a lovely weekend Lindsay

You baby is super cute, look at those juicy cheeks...love the bracelets too, very organic looking. The ear waxing thing, yes my friend did it for me, I was quite grossed out by what I saw. Didn't feel a thing. Feel liberated after that like everything was wiped out from my ears.
