Things That Make Me Say Yeay

Friday, March 9, 2012

One positive aspect about having a high risk pregnancy is the twice weekly ultrasounds I have to do. Seeing this little face never gets old. Technology amazes me. Confession: Before I had kids I always thought these 3D pictures were soo creepy. Now I love them.

Signs of spring.

Adorable handmade booties gifted to me by this amazing gal!

Kumquats. My favorite snack from our local Farmers Market.

Have you watched this video yet? If you have an extra 30 minutes to spare please do! It is powerful. I support this movement %100.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Aw, the ultrasound pictures are so sweet. I loved having an ultrasound when I was pregnant, it is so special to be able to see your baby growing inside you. Those little booties are absolutely adorable! Have a great weekend, friend!

Invisible Children is such an amazing organization and definitely a cause worthy of standing up for! Thanks for sharing that video -worth every minute.

Those booties look adorable! She is talented! And I saw Kumquats at the grocery store for the first time last week...they're like mini oranges. Do you know if you're supposed to peel them?

Carlie- you eat the whole thing, including skin! They are so yummy and loaded with vitamin C :)

I LOVE Katrina's Buggs!!!!!! OH and those ultra sound pics are so precious. I had a lot more pics due to some issues last time and in a way I miss going in for constant ultra sounds.

Thanks for spreading the word about Kony. Ever since I read the true story A Long Way Gone the children's plight in Africa has held a spot in my heart. Each year I run the Cardiff 5K, which supports Invisible Children. Ugh it makes me sad just typing this. Oh a lighter note...that little man of yours looks so cute in his photos! Yay! xo

Those ultrasounds are so amazing! My dear friend who is also a type 1 diabetic was just showing me her ultrasound photos on Monday - such an amazing experience! It's amazing how detailed they are now - seeing their chubby little paws just makes me light up.

Have you had Sumo Citrus before? They may only be available out west - they're a mandarin clementine hybrid and are the most delicious little fruits I've ever had!

Hope you have a nice weekend!

Cute booties! I like seeing the 3-d ultrasounds bc you can actually make out what you are looking at. Most of the time when people show me those pics and point things out I still don't see what they are seeing!

I actually just saw this on another blog (the video), heartbreaking. It's inspiring seeing others taking action.

I think the 3-D ultrasounds are creepy but in an awesome way. Like, I can't believe they can do that!! I like saying kumquat. I kinda want to use it in a bad way, like that person is such a kumquat. ;) hehe Happy weekend lady!

Such adorable baby pics!
As far as the Kony video is concerned please consider supporting the worthy cause through another organization - there are significant concerns about the way that Invisible Children is run (for example, the claim that only around 30% of the funds donated actually go towards services, the fact that they promote violent intervention, or that they support a government renowned for its history of human rights abuses). I won't clog up your comments with the whole spiel but do please do a bit of reading and draw your own conclusions.
