Opinions Needed! Please and Thank you :)

HI! Ahhhhhh I miss sharing here on a regular basis.  Renovation life has been crazy to say the least, and no one could have prepared us for how it would be living in the actual renovation while everything was going on.  Some days drinking wine at 11am sounds like a good idea and other days I just want to eat all the snacks in the house (I'm talking to you fishy crackers)... and some days I want to do both. Stress will do that to you, ha!  But more on renovation life and progress of our barn later, I promise!

So anywhoo! Today, I would love your opinion.  We are getting to the point where we have to start making decisions about certain things like what type of flooring is going where etc... I have narrowed it down to these three samples and I would love to hear your thoughts.  Which is your favorite?  If you need a little more of a visual, the walls will all be white and the exposed beams are going to be stained a light to medium walnut color.

I've been obsessed with the color of #2 for months now!

It's hard to choose just one because I love all three, but if I had to choose my favorite I would say #3 is my favorite. I love the 'warmer' hue that this wood has.

Good luck with the rest of your reno! Can't wait to see pictures!

I love them all, and actually think they would look good together. :) But if I'm forced to pick one, because it's for the floor, and because you have kids and a dog, number three for sure.

I love them all, but I would probably go with # 3. Although I would love to see #2.

I like 3 best. It's versatile and warm. But, if you are more into cooler colors, I'd go with 2

I like # 1 and #2. We had grey flooring in our basement in our old house and I loved it. I wasn't sure I would but it just made it interesting and warm at the same time. I think #1 because it would work well with the white walls and light to medium walnut beams. It would compliment and not match like I think #3 will. Although to be honest they are all really great choices. I doubt there is a wrong choice.

I say #2 if you want something more modern and #3 if you want something more classic!

I think the color of #3 will be more life-friendly unless you're planning to clean your floors all day.

They are all great but I'd go with #3. It is classic and won't go out of style.

#3 is more warm and welcoming, but #2 is different and rugged/rustic to me.

#2 or #3. Don't use #1

No #3 for sure, it's the one I keep going back too.

Such a hard call as they are all nice but I'd pick #3. It the most classic/timeless. With such a large investment you'll probably want something that you won't tire of as easily (I think #1 and #2 are popular now but don't have the same longevity as they are a bit trendy right now). Plus, I think the warmth in #3 is really nice. But all are great. Looking forward to seeing what you choose.

With white walls I think I'd pick #3! Btw, only just discovered your blog while googling information about Type 1 diabetes. Hello! I love your mix of posts :)

I love #2. Would love to do my floors with that one.

2 is nice and totally in right now but 3 is my fav. 3 is classic and won't go out of style. It'll be easier to switch up decor over time as well.

Hi - I agree with Elaine and Anonymous - I think they are all wonderful, but I would go with #3 for two reasons, and I must say up front they are all really beautiful. Here's my thoughts (and I built a house with my husband not long ago, using floor plans we drew up on graph paper! and it's really good :) ) - #3 has the longevity you will appreciate and the wood grain is so beautiful and varied throughout and you will be able to see it with this stain. The other two are wonderful, no doubt but they are more 'trendy' and imo they appear rather flat which will become very plain to your eye very quickly. The grain in #3 will appear different throughout, and will appear different during different times of the day.
So - thanks for asking us! Good Luck!
