Things That Make Me Say Yeay + Taking It Down a Notch

Friday, October 26, 2012

Pumpkin butter from Trader Joe's.  I can not stop eating it and putting it on everything.

A scull scarf that my friend sent to me in the mail.  Such a fun surprise!  Max calls it my "Scaweeewey mean dog scarf." :)

A bunch of cinnamon scented intense sticks that I got from a little vendor for only a $1.

Perfectly crunchy leaves for Max to jump in.

These two from last weekends pumpkin patch adventure.  I love that I got a pic of my husband in there but he is obviously too cool to stick his head all the way through.

Have a wonderful weekend!  We are going to be doing some serious pumpkin carving with a little Michael Jackson's "Thriller" playing on repeat in the background (it's tradition)...and seed roasting, which is my favorite part.

On a side note:  Since the holiday season is now in full swing I will be taking it down just a notch on the blog.  My little bambinos are growing up so fast and I want to make sure I do not miss a thing!  So if you notice a little less than normal posts around here that is why.  You can always follow along on Instagram (@Delightedmomma)  if you want to see all the craziness that is my life over there.

Cheers to taking it down a notch! I have definitely done the same lately as life with the little one and working has evolved into craziness. Enjoy those sweet babes! Happy weekend to you!

That pumpkin butter is SO good. I have a couple recipes for chicken that I use it in (the one is the whole chicken that you gagged over the pictures of). Good stuff maynard.

Just in case you decide you wanna feel up a carcass, here's the links to both: http://rindymae.blogspot.com/201/09/chicken-primavera-with-oven-roasted.html#

Enjoy your time with the fam. We're off for a weekend of doing just that. The Girl asked if we could have her birthday party at the "Rock Farm" this year, so the whole family is gonna snuggle up around the wood stove and drink hot cider with spiced rum all weekend. With no access to electronics. Nice. And my sister is back on US soil. Wahoo!!! Can't wait to see her later today.

Give those sweet boys a squeeze from Oregon.

I so wish we had a trader joe's down here in Miami! Or maybe I don't - because I too would probably eat pumpkin butter by the jar-ful!

Here in Canada we have a place that makes a small batch of Apple/Pumpkin Butter. I can't even explain how amazing it is. Nothing but cooked down apple and pumpkin into a thick pasty consistency. I bet you couldidn't mix apple and pumpkin butter together for a similar flavor.
