Skin Care Tip of the Week *BB Cream- a great time saving product*

1-2-3-4

BB Cream (aka blemish or beauty balm) is the new skincare and beauty craze. The trend originally started in Asia and and has recently made its way over to the United States. Do I think it's as good as it's cracked up to be? YES I do!

What is BB Cream- it is a makeup/skin care product that does pretty much everything. It treats, protects, hydrates, minimizes lines, helps diminish pores and conceals all in one. With just one little pump your skin will look flawless and natural.

Who would benefit from a BB cream? - this is the perfect product for someone who wants a simple quick morning beauty regime that takes less then 5 minutes. If you dread putting on a whole list of products in the morning then you may want to give a BB cream a try.

My personal favorite is Boscia BB Cream. It is loaded with antioxidants and has an SPF of 27. It is also formulated without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance and dyes.

Have you tried a BB cream yet? If so I would love to hear what you think.

Wow, I had heard the name recently but never really checked it out to see what it really was. Definately going to check it out now.

Out of curiousity (and perhaps you've shared this already & I missed it) but do you have any tips on things you do the week prior to the dreadful monthly visit?! My skin goes CRAZY break out of control!

Jennifer- No I have not done a post on that..but I have gotten so many requests for it! I will definitely keep that in mind for an upcoming topic.

Boscia was my favorite of the BB creams. I'll probably switch back to this during the summer. I need something other than BB creams to diminish pores. My nose looks like the moon. ;)

How have I not heard of this before? It's like an all in one fix (which is my kinda thing, being that I seriously feel like I have no time to take care of my skin)!

I actually just bought that Boscia BB cream from Sephora. I LOVE it, I can just use it or I can also add some of my BareMinerals on top for a more finished look!

Just wanted to share that BB cream was originally made by plastic surgeons in Korea- so those who underwent procedures could wear something to protect their skin from the sun while covering (and possibly speeding up the healing process of) their scars. :)

Cheers,
Jess

Where have I been?! I've not heard of this before but a one-stop facial cream sounds great!

I love the Garnier BB cream. It really makes my face glow and it feels like I have nothing on. Also, you cannot beat the price.

I will have to look for this next time at Sephora. I have used several Boscia products before, and loved them.

Going out to buy this tomorrow! Sounds like just what I've been looking for!

Do you use this before you put on foundation in place of a moisturizer? Help! :)

Eleanor Rae said...

I tried the clinique one but I was allergic :( it's a shame because they sound so quick and simple xxx

Lindsay @ Delighted Momma said...

Miss Lindsay- yes you would use this in place of your AM moisturizer and foundation. If you like a little extra coverage you can apply a mineral powder on top. Hope that helps :)

Boscia is my favorite at well. I have tried the Garnier but it does not give me the smooth complexion as the Boscia does.

@Miss lindsay
I have dry skin so I still use my moisturizer and then the BB cream - no foundation needed...just add a bit of concealer and go.

I love Dr. Jart's BB cream! The SPF 45 is really great for summer

What's in in that makes it seem so amazing?

Lindsay @ Delighted Momma said...

lexepre- its an all in one product that contains antioxidants, brightening ingredients and sunscreen. BB creams will help hydrate your skin and protect is from harmful environmental factors.

I've tried these new North American BB creams and they unfortunately do not stand up to their Asian counterparts! I have yet to check out the Garnier one though, so I will have to see how that one is!

Is this okay to use when pregnant? I want to try it! Liquid foundation and sunscreen ALWAYS make me break out though... I wonder if this stuff would be different? I was also wondering if you have a good moisturizer to use for acne but also when pregnant. Like something to wear at night if I got the B&B for the daytime...? THANKS! :)
