Things That Make Me Say Yeay

Friday, August 12, 2011

You are never too old for birthday cupcakes. These did not disappoint. Vanilla butter cream delicious-ness.

The birthday dinner that Ian made me. I am not gonna lie I was pretty impressed. AND he even said "Wow babe, making dinner and watching Max at the same time is really hard." Yep thank you very much..I agree :)

A friendship bread starter batch given to me by my sweet friend on my birthday. Its a ten day process and each day you need to give your dough a little love and add new ingredients. On day 10 you make the bread and you give four friends a sample from the starter that made it! That is why it is called the "friendship bread." Love the whole concept and idea.

Fresh grapes from the farmers market. The most delicious grapes that I have ever had in my life!

Our wine club package arrived and this always makes me say yeay!

On a side note: I have received quite a few emails regarding this post. Don't worry friends... I was being sarcastric and I know it is a scam but I really appreciate everyone who thought I won a large sum of $ and was going to send in my personal information...thanks for looking out :)

Oh my gosh!! The bread starter! My grandmother used to do this all the time! We made it one summer for a bunch of her friends in her home town and then helped her deliver it to them! You don't happen to still have the recipe for that do you? I would love to have it! And you're in a wine club?! NEAT! :) Have a great weekend!

How weird for my to scroll down and see your bag of starter!!! I am listening to an audio CD in my car called Friendship Bread by Darien Key. It gets a 5 out of 5 on Amazon with 151 reviews! So far they have mentioned the zip lock bag of Amish Friendship Bread started often so it was really fun to see it on your site. I have made it before and it is delicious!
