repurposed mug tree

Monday, May 9, 2011

Found this little thingamajig at the Goodwill for $1. To be totally honest..I had no clue what it was. But I knew it had a purpose. I PROMISE I am not hoarding useless junk!

Google rocks. I entered in the description and hit "images" and a bunch of these mug trees popped up.

Spray painted it white...and hung some of my jewelry.

Okay...I am not TOTALLY stoked on it..only my shorter necklaces fit...and they were still getting a little tangled but OH WELL. At least some of them will avoid the tangled mess party in my top dresser drawer.

What a great idea Lindsay!

(Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm all for quick and easy and no bake is good for me with 2 young kids and a constantly messy house. Check out some of the other no bake recipes I have on my blog. They may be of interest to you.)

Cheers, Anne

Gidday Lindsay! Thanks so much for following my blog.

I love to bake and cook and even though I love to be creative and go outside my comfort zone, I have to be practical. You know as well as I do, how precious our time is so the quicker the better. Come to think of it. I've got to bake something real quick to take to my daughter's school morning tea tomorrow morning! Yikes! It's 12:30am and I've got to hit the hay. It'll be panic stations tomorrow!

Thanks again and I enjoy looking forward to you popping in. (Have followed your blog too!)

Awesome repurposing project! Love it! I recently made something so I could display my necklaces and I find I'm wearing jewelry much more often now that I can see it.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog yesterday!

Such a good idea! I used to have one when I was younger (back when I didn't have any jewelry to hang on it!) but don't know what happened to it!

p.s. I love the distressed wood counter and mirror in the background of the picture!

I am going to search for one today at my local thrift store. Hope I come across one. I have been wanting to do this forever, just haven't got around to it! Thanks for posting this!
