Pumpkin Patchin

Monday, October 22, 2012

I love NOT being pregnant.  When I am pregnant I am cranky and going to the pumpkin patch sweating my butt off while feeling like I am going to puke sucks.  It is about as fun as the most un fun thing you can think of.  That was me last year.  So this year I felt like I had some making up to do. This time around the weather was perfect, I was not sweating or having a panic attack from my latte and my two year old was not having a tantrum...yeay!  It was a little drizzly and cold, which made me feel even more festive.  So here are a few pictures from our day...

Oh and I may be turning into an old person, but when did pumpkins get so expensive?!  They are now $10 a pop.  I remember when they used to be like $2.  Yep I am getting old.

The pumpkins behind me were obviously much more exciting than the special family pumpkin patch moment (well sans my hubby) I was trying to capture.  Seriously we took at least 10 pictures like this and they are all a variation of the two above.  Typical.

A pumpkin for Ronin...oh and don't you hate it when a butt (there on the right) photo bombs your picture?  She really needs to butt out of my photo...haha I make myself laugh.

And a pumpkin for Max, which he decided to shot put into the air 5 seconds after this picture.  I am serious, the kid really wanted to ditch that particular pumpkin.

A pretty legit creepy corn maze.  I have no desire to enter one of these.  Like ever.  Taylor Swift's song just popped into my head...  If you don't know what I am talking about you are probably thinking I am having a serious case off ADD, which is very likely anywhoo...

On a side note: Delighted Momma is getting a  blog makeover and I am so excited for a little change and a new look coming soon.

hahaha the photo bombing butt! I have been saying the same thing....when did pumpkins become so darn expensive. I mean they are just oversized vegetables, right? Right they are vegetables? It may have to do with the drought across alot of the country this summer.

Hmmm... $10 a pumpkin is waay too much. Here in Half Moon Bay the smaller go for $1, medium $2-3, Large $4-6. You must have picked a "high-end/designer" farm :)It sure is beautiful there though.

You guys are so cute and I'm so glad this was a better year than last year. You should go to the Cal Poly Pomona pumpkin patch. They only have it for 1 weekend, but beach ball sized pumpkins are like $5 AND they have a fun farmers markets, a bug exhibit, and even the tiny dounuts!

You're SUCH a funny lady! I love the family photo with the back of Max's head. I hope you keep that forever because it's those moments that say more about the family at that moment, ya know? And how funny that he shot-putted that pumpkin (I see track and field in his future). You're the most gorgeous woman! I don't know how you have two little kids and look so fabulous and put together! I can't even manage and I have no excuse.

HAHAHA you just summed up the first 9-10 weeks of my pregnancy. I honestly barely left the house let along got out of bed. I feel so awful for people who work full time in an office. Anyway, how very nice to enjoy the pumpkin patch with your baby on the outside! :) And seriously, pumpkins are so expensive! It's ridiculous. Especially the cool funky ones. However, you and the fam look adorable.

That butt photo bombing your picture was so funny!! I do hate it when something in the background ruins a good shot. Seeing you with your two kiddos gives me baby fever. My daughter is 6 years old and I feel the urge for a baby but then again I am not ready to go back to diapers and everything else that comes along with having a baby.

You all look happy and healthy and I loved this post and it reminds me that I need to go to the pumpkin patch.

I am 25 years old, Type 1 diabetic with an 11 month old daughter and currently expecting baby number 2 as well : ) It feels amazing knowing that there are other women out there who take care of themselves and are showing diabetes what's up! Keep up your amazing work.
