Vacation Skin Care

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

Ahhh the humidity is making my skin freak out! I am breaking out like crazy. BUMMER...and I forgot to pack my favorite mask. I made a little trip to our hotel's spa yesterday and picked up a "Warming Hungarian Herbal Mud Mask." Sounds like it means business right?! I loved it!

My top two vacation skin care must haves are sunscreen and a good mask.

If you are camping or taking a more rugged outdoorsy vacation then I would switch out a mask for facial cleansing cloths.

What are your vacation skin care must haves? Please share!

On a side note: Poor Max completely freaked out when he saw tar faced Mommy! He was running all over the hotel room saying "Mamaamaamma." So I took it off and reapplied it when he went to bed. :)

Dont forget to enter THIS giveaway and THIS giveaway if you have not already!

I like to bring some sea salt spray (preferrably bumble and bumble-which is awesome) to just spray in my hair when it's wet to get some waves, since I hate spending time getting ready when on vaca. Also an exfoliator, because I generally burn in the sun so when I peel an exfoliator is ideal to get the dead skin off

Even with a mud mask, you're still gorgeous Lindsay! LOL Poor little Maxie.

When I was younger and at the beach ALL the time, I used to love an after sun milk. Also Evian water spray is always nice in a warm climate and when travelling long distances.

Ah, the memories!

I admire you for sneaking that in :) I'd never have a chance :)

What a good idea! I have to bring serious moisturizer along, especially on this last trip the hotel water was so hard it really dried my skin out.

Poor Max, but it's kind of funny. I definitely have to bring decent shampoo. I used to try to make due with the hotel shampoo but my hair looked terrible from it. Oh and conditioner of course. :)

Lindsay you are so cute! How funny you scared little Max!

On vacation I like a good sunscreen and a soothing lotion w/ Aloe in case I get burned. And this post reminds me that it's about time for me to apply a mask!

you are too cute lindsay! poor little max, hope he hasn't been like that all day long. vacations are more important to keep your skin healthy, sometimes on vacation i tend to forget my normal routine and of course my skin pays for it, gotta keep that routine!

So cute! My daughter freaks out when I have a towel on my head, so I better not even attempt a mask while she's awake :)

I always travel with small bottle of rose water spray. I hate how dry airplanes make my skin so I am the crazy spraying this during the flight so I don't look 10 years older when I land!

Sara Jahan- One of my favorites is by a company called Eminence. The mask I love is called Eight Greens Phyto Masque. When I found out they carried this brand at the hotel I am staying at I did a little happy dance! I tried a new one this week though and it is AMAZING!

I also do this one at least once a week. Makes my skin feel incredible.

LOL... I could never pull this off and look as good as you. Seeing as I'm an old woman- my skin must, regardless of where I'm at, is pure vitamin E oil. I apply at night after exfoliating, it moisturizes better than anything else and has healing properties so it tends to combat wrinkles/scars. Good stuff and very affordable.

Stunning. Even in a face mask.

This is so timely! I'm out semi-camping and my face is NOT happy. Unfortunately, they don't sell masks in town so I think I'm just gonna have to wash my face extra well and save that tidbit away for our next trip.

my gosh my skin is also been breaking out too!!!! :( well you certain dont look like you are!

OK, I know this is bad, but my vacation skincare routine is usually to just throw all the sample-sized cleaners, scrubs, gels, masks, serums, moisturizes, etc. in a bag. I try different stuff every night, sometimes with diastrous results. Don't judge!
