2 bright colored Pyrex bowls to add to my little collection

A few classic cookbooks. I cant WAIT to try a few recipes from "The New York Times International Cook Book."

A few that popped out were:
  • Stuffed grape leaves with Avgolemono sauce from Greece
  • Rum custard pudding from Jamaica
  • Stuffed mussels from Turkey
  • Mahashes from India

A vintage bronzed necklace.

Cast iron baking dish. So excited about this one!

I decided to do a weekly post where I will post all things thrifty. It will include awesome little thrifting finds, thrifty tips and just about anything else thrifty that fits in this category.

I'm gonna be totally honest (I know this is never a good way to start a sentence), this time last year you would never ever see me thrifting. If I did it was up in Big Bear where no one would see me. I had a stigma that everything I bought had to be brand spankin new.

Now I can proudly say that I go thrifting at least 3x per week and find the most amazing things! What changed?...Well I had a baby and all my extra spending money went bye bye! So I decided to get creative...a that is how I became a thrifty Momma ;)

I would also LOVE love to hear about your thrifty finds or tips. So if you want to share, leave a link of your thrifty things in the comments below so I can check it out!

Hey Linds! You have my Cre8tive touch I see. Your dad sent me your blog, he was pretty proud as I am too! You need to add your email to your blogger dashboard so people can contact you, like I wanted to :) I am so excited to follow my niece and her adventures in motherhood, cooking and crafting. You know I am always a phone call away to come help you with the decorating. Plus! I am dying to see my great-nephew. He is so handsome.

Oh I love the heart baking tray! I want that! I have one similar (it's just much smaller and only makes 4 at a time) and made brownies in them before - they turned out so cute! I know they tasted better too when they're heart-shaped :)

I'm excited for your new weekly thrifty post! That's a great idea!!

Awesome treasures, Lindsay! I didn't get anything this weekend. I'm suffering withdrawal. I wonder if I'll survive?! lol

I used to be the same way! I would be ashamed of shopping in a thrift store or at target and walmart, but now I'm proud of it. And why shouldn't we be? Everybody likes to save money :)

Thanks for your nice comment on my blog! I'm following yours!

Lauren

PS - Love the heart-shaped baking pan.

LOVE that necklace - I am all about the deals, too, being a mom of 2 (with one in private school)! My blog is about great fashion on a budget:
