You're supposed to contact them within 3 months of being diagnosed.

Understanding your state's laws on sharps disposal (all of those new needles!). You may need to ask a friend for an empty laundry detergent bottle (we've been going through several lately!).

At first you're in almost constant contact with the dr about blood sugars but eventually that stops. However, I would not put off making adjustments until the "next" time you see the doctor which is what we would do and I think my daughter's a1C reflected that so it wasn't where we wanted it to be. For example, oh she has an appointment next month so we'll wait. We should've called and made adjustments then.

Try not to grade yourself or your child by their blood sugars or a1C - it's information and tells you how to adjust what you're doing and help you figure out where you want to be going.Need A Nap2http://needanap2.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8505544608932186547.post-80509840588556969122014-07-16T19:14:59.197-07:002014-07-16T19:14:59.197-07:00I found your blog a year ago when my husband was s...I found your blog a year ago when my husband was suddenly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
